Privacy notice

Last updated 25 October 2026

This notice explains how personal data is handled on the public Mills website and app (“Mills”, “we”, “us”). Mills is a product of AlliMediaHub. We aim to collect as little as possible, keep it only as long as it is needed, and never sell it.

1. Who is responsible

AlliMediaHub operates Mills and is responsible for the personal data Mills collects through these public pages.

Competition organisers decide what about their competitions, teams, players and officials is published on Mills. For that information the organiser is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and publish it, including any consent needed from players or, for under-18s, from a parent or guardian. Mills publishes it on the organiser's instructions.

2. What we collect and why

You can read Mills without an account. We collect personal data only when you choose to use a feature that needs it:

  • Following and notifications. When you follow a competition, team or match, we create an anonymous supporter session on this device so we can show your follows and updates. If you turn on browser notifications, your browser gives us a push address that we use only to send the updates you asked for.
  • Comments, reactions and polls. If you comment on a match we keep your comment and the optional name you give. Comments are public and moderated. Reactions and poll votes are counted against your anonymous session.
  • Team applications. If you apply to enter a team in a competition, we collect the team details, your name, email address, optional phone number and your answers to the organiser's questions. We share them with that competition's organiser so they can review the application and contact you, and we give you a private link to follow it.
  • Credential checks. When an accreditation credential is scanned, the person checking it sees the holder's name, photo, role and team from the live record so they can confirm who is in front of them.
  • Enquiries. If you contact us, for example through “Talk to us”, we receive your name, email, organisation and message and use them only to reply.

We use this data to provide the feature you asked for, to keep Mills secure and free of abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.

3. Players and young people

A player's name and photo appear on Mills only with their consent or, for under-18s, the consent of a parent or guardian, as confirmed by the organiser. Where consent is not given or is withdrawn, the player is shown as “identity withheld”, including in past match records, and their public page is removed.

4. Cookies and device storage

Mills uses only what it needs to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

  • Two cookies for your anonymous supporter session: one keeps the session, the other protects your actions from forgery. They are set only when you use a feature that needs them.
  • If you turn on notifications, a reference to your notification subscription is kept in your browser so you can turn them off again.
  • A security check from Cloudflare Turnstile may run on forms to stop automated abuse.

Published competition, team and player data is not kept on your device for offline use.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only when needed:

  • with the competition organiser, for applications and competition records;
  • with service providers who host and secure Mills (such as Cloudflare) and deliver notifications (your browser's push service), under terms that limit their use of it;
  • where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Mills, AlliMediaHub, organisers or others.

Links to YouTube and other sites open those services, which have their own privacy terms.

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as the feature or the competition record needs it, or as the law requires. Anonymous supporter sessions expire, comments may be removed by moderators or organisers, and applications are kept for the organiser's review and record of the season.

7. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that apply, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its use, withdraw consent, and ask for a copy of it. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

To make a request, email allinewsstudios@gmail.com. For information an organiser published about you, we may ask the organiser to act on the request.

8. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit and access controls. No service can be completely secure, so please tell us at allinewsstudios@gmail.com if you see something wrong.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as Mills changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Read it with our terms of use.
